What if we were more like ants? (creative flow poetry critical thinking where did it go?)
Updated: Sep 2
Layers upon layers
What you see on the surface
is simply the product
A collection of moments
not the forever
People can change
Their minds
Set in default mode
Processing takes “time”
That’s why you’re taught to keep busy
to laugh at manifestation
look outward for validation
A concept that has been manufactured
For generations
Knowledge is power
So they limit the access to education
Slowly but surely
eliminate critical thinking
Regular dopamine hits
that have the world twitching
With ants in their pants
They’ve got us so twisted
Divided
Looking to AI for the answers
Instead of communicating
with each other
Best time for change
is when the world is in crisis
Technology should bring benefits
Not just making things go faster and faster
There was a reset back in 2020
Through media, filters, reality shows and body cams
Constant surveillance because no one can trust
The product of our environment
Let alone believe what anything
Or Anyone says or does anymore
Fear of everything
Especially getting cancelled
What if we were more like ants?
Ants work as a team. There's no boss or leader.
They can make living bridges with their bodies
Have super strength because they work together
Imagine what we could do with some team effort
Have we lost the spirit?
No. People just have to remember
We’ve been misdirected
Misled
Overworked
People are tired
Bored
Alone
Filling the void
Surviving off the tools provided
Only to some and not all
Based on what we’re sold
Under terms and conditions
We don’t understand
Well not anymore
Thats for sure
They’re burning books
Instead of building libraries
That speaks volumes
Transforming the truth
further
Is this the best option for humanity
New developments
Luxury high rise
Gentrification
Before rebuilding a school
a neighborhood
It doesn't matter how far you push people out
Of your mind
Your bubble
The resentment, the anger, the trauma
Of this system
Will find its way back to you
Eventually
It’s a cycle
Maybe it’s time for another reset
What if we were more like ants?
